This is the fifth book in the Horus Heresy series, published by Black Library.

It is the story of a legion of space marines, the Emperor’s Children and their leader Fulgrim. It’s a story of how the legion becomes corrupted by the creatures in the warp, known as Chaos. It also shows the details of the battle on Isstvan 5.

The book was okay entertainment. The dialogues may be abit clunky and seemingly repetitive (yes, we know the Emperor is above all and yadda yadda, I guess that’s just how the space marines are). However, the action speaks for itself, with explicit details of battles and individual fights. Fulgrim being lured by Slaanesh, a Chaos god is also well written.
